Thursdays 2-4:30 pm | 5 Weekly Classes Limited to 8 students [No class May 4th] Learn the basics of piecing together painted paper collages as students explore new ways to create irregular edges. In this class we will make painted papers using acrylic paint, ink and printmaking techniques. We will explore color and design principles to assemble exciting abstract images with a focus on edges that will not be contained within the constraints of the substrate. About the Instructor: Jennifer Duncan has been teaching painting and collage from her home studio and the Great Falls School of Art since 2010. Her classes aim to be fun, innovative, and informative and are designed to help students discover their own creative approach to art making. Jennifer’s paintings have been included in group and solo exhibits in the Washington Dc metro area and can be found in both national and international collections. She is a founding member of the Great Falls Artists’ Atelier, has a studio at Reston Gallery and Studios on historic Lake Anne and is a member of Studio Gallery DC in Washington.
